Monterey Peninsula Restaurants

The Monterey Peninsula has a diverse selection of restaurants, inexpensive sandwich shops to family restaurants, national chains to world renowned, exclusive fine-dining establishments. Unfortunately, the Monterey Peninsula also has a good share of restaurants that come and go, casualties of the fluctuating economy and as a world famous area that relies heavily on its tourism industry to support local establishments.

During my quarter-century of living and visiting the Monterey Peninsula, I’ve eaten at many Monterey Peninsula restaurants, locals’ favorites like The Fish Wife and Peppers in Pacific Grove and fine-dining like Casanova in Carmel.
