Allegiant Air will offer new round-trip Monterey Peninsula route to San Diego

Allegiant Air plans to add round-trip, nonstop flights between Lindbergh Field in San Diego tMonterey Peninsula Airport beginning May 3.

The Las Vegas-based carrier will service the routes with its 150-seat MD-80 jet. Flights are scheduled for Sunday, Tuesday and Thursday. Introductory fares for $39 each way must be purchased by March 11. Allegiant also operates round-trip, non-sto flights between San Diegto and Bellingham, Wash.
