Cypress Point, Pebble Beach among five Monterey Peninsula courses on Golf Digest’s top-100 list

Five Monterey Peninsula golf courses, including four courses in Pebble Beach, have been named to the top-100 list in the 2009 Golf Digest compilation of the finest golf courses in the United States. Augusta National Golf Club, site of the Masters Tournament, replaces long-time leader Pine Valley Golf Club in Clementon, N.J. Pine Valley is now second on the list in the May issue of the magazine, available April 7 .Shinnecock Hills Golf Club in Southampton, N.Y., is ranked third.

Cypress Point (4), Pebble Beach Golf Links (6), Spyglass Hill (51) and Monterey Peninsula Country Club, all located in Pebble Beach; and The Preserve Golf Club (78) in Carmel, all among the top-100.
