February 2, 2010One upscale clothing store will replace another — sort of — when Lawrence Khaki’s of Carmel moves from the Barnyard Shopping Center to the Carmel Plaza in April. Jim Ockert, who started Khaki’s of Carmel 18 years ago, will move to Ocean Street location vacated last October by Wilkes Bashford.

February 2, 2010Tony Romo and Tom Brady, two of the NFL’s most accomplished quarterbacks, will join a diverse field of celebrities playing in the 2010 AT&T Pebble Beach National Pro-Am, Feb. 8-14. Actors Josh Duhamel, Oliver Hudson, Jeffrey Donovan, Rob Morrow, Bill Murray and George Lopez are also in the field.

August 20, 2009No one has done more for humor in golf than Bill Murray. Since the release of Caddyshack in 1980, Murray has helped bring levity to the sometimes serious nature of the sport. George Lopez arrived on the golf scene more recently, but he’s also a fan favorite.
