If Tiger Woods’ car accident injuries are minor as updated from earlier reports of potential more serious problems, will the golf’s No. 1 player keep his pending schedule or amend it, including his pending return to the Monterey Peninsula next February?

Former PGA Champion Mark Brooks birdied three of the last four holes en route to a 5-under 67 and a two-stroke victory Sunday over Rickie Fowler and D.A. Points at the Callaway Golf Pebble Beach Invitational.
D.A. Points shot a 2-under 70 at Del Monte and Matt Bettencourt carded a 71 at Spyglass Hill to share the lead by one shot Friday as scores soared in strong winds and rain in the second round of the Callaway Golf Pebble Beach Invitational.
John Cook and Olin Browne both shot 6-under par 66s at Del Monte Golf Course and shared a one-stroke lead Thursday after the first round of the Callaway Golf Pebble Beach Invitational.
Tommy Armour III, a two-time PGA Tour winner, will seek his third straight Callaway Golf Pebble Beach Invitational title against an diverse field from the four major professional tours beginning Thursday at Pebble Beach Golf Links, Del Monte Golf Course and Spyglass Hill Golf Course.
“Could the next big craze in kayaking be…mud paddling? Kind of like “dirt biking” without wheels? Nah, but it sure looked that way on a recent return trip to Elkhorn Slough here in Monterey County. This trip was with the Tribe, a group of Sacramento kayakers who came for a weekend paddle at the slough and in Monterey Bay.
